Jaclyn, a bride in the fashion industry knew what colors she wanted right off the bat. Deep plum, eggplant and taupe, she knew these colors would be hip 12 months before her wedding. We worked with Paper-Girl to start off the design with the perfect Save the Dates and later on, matching invites and papergoods. With Team White Lilac we found the right shade of taupe linen, after looking at over 20 fabric samples. And the flowers could not be any more spectacular. The lighting from Shine and the custom draping were the finishing touch to the Grand Ballroom at the Montage Resort. Side Effect from West Coast Music jammed all night before and after the cake cutting. Custom cake created by the famous Linda of Cake Studio. Prior to the reception, Jaclyn and Dan were married at their home church St. Edwards in Dana Point. Transported in limos from Best Transportation from the church to the not so sunny Montage as the coastal fog rolled in. To our delight, it was the perfect backdrop for photography as seen above from Aaron Delesie pictures. When Bill was pondering about his future wife, he realized that the woman he has been looking for all of his life was right in front of him, the beatiful Irene. They decided to celebrate this special occasion by asking all of their friends and family to join them at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel. The gorgeous romantic flowers were done by thier dear friend Linda of Fabulous Stems Flowers in Laguna Beach and the special moments were captured by Ira and Samuel Lippke. The guests danced the afternoon away to Romanian and American hits spun by Peter from Vive Entertainment. -Brooke
The Schreyer's wanted to create an unforgettable Casablanca themed birthday celebration and who better than to make their vision come to fruition than Sunny from White Lilac I had such a blast working with Sunny on planning and executing the event. To accommodate the 225 guests we had to subfloor the entire backyard, swimming pool, jacuzzi and build a riser over the hedges to create additional seating. The guests feasted on a savory dinner prepared by Crème de la Crèmeand a deliciously sweet birthday cake created by Let Them Eat CakeThe highlight of the evening had to be the ultra sexy & sultry show produced by E! Is this Hawaii you ask? We had rain, thunder and sunny skies, like any given day in Maui. Samuel from Ira Lippke Studios got a shot of the Lightning too! Can't wait to see what Elysium captured on video. Michelle and Dave wanted their guests to feel the spirit of Hawaii. In order to do so, we brought in lei greeters to greet guests with floral leis, a conch shell blower to signal the start of the wedding, a bamboo structure encrusted with hundreds of orchids and Michelle even wore a haku lei around her head for the first dance. Guests sipped pineapple and strawberry mojitos, nibbled on seared scallops with black truffle, spiced hamachi, Hawaiian Ahi and fresh sea bass, all prepared by the chefs at Studio Restaurant within Montage Resort. While guests dined in Studio, Christopher Aldama Fiori Fresco Special Events quickly converted the ceremony lawn of chairs to a sea of chartreuse green draped cabanas for guests to relax after lunch. Linda from the Cake Studio delivered one of her amazing cakes, an original basket weave design to match the theme of the day. The big surprise of the day was the concert by famous Hawaiian Band Cecilio and Kapono. Guests lounged with desserts, coffee and cake and left with a autographed CD from the band, a gift from Michelle and Dave. -Jeannie
I mentioned in the gallery below about Dana's cake but here are the photos for it. Thanks Mirta! I couldn't just put one because the details correspond perfectly with the paillette in the linen (how did they make that, sugar?) It matches the color of the underlay and the over all theme of the room decor. Another shade of the LED used...shade more intense from room shot below. Well done to the team at Let Them Eat Cake!
I finally had the opportunity to work with Joe and Mirta from Barnet Photography and Cathy from Parallel Media What professionals they were and a fun wedding to start the relationship with....we were all lucky as bride Dana was sweet, an absolute delight and her hubby John was a true gentleman. Maybe it was his soft British accent....multiplied by all his groomsmen. When I say it was fun, I mean USC marching band as Dana and her sister are aluminis, European Cheese Station after dinner, Sugar Plum/ Iridescent Paillette Wildflower LinensViennese Dessert Buffet, Tables named after exotic cars, plexi glass invites by Invitation Innovation and the always entertaining James Gang Band. And my favorite toy again, LED lights that changed the room color 5 different colors. And the gifted lovely Sunny of White Lilac made the room powerful and memorable. -Jeannie
Julia is known for being chic and stylish and her wedding was a reflection of just that. From the perfect meal with fine wines and champagne at the St. Regis to the elaborated decorated patio at Club 19. Julia and Steven who reside in NYC, wanted a reception of less formality but full of hospitality and intimacy. They hired Ira Lippke and Elysium Productions to capture the memories of the day while Team Square Root brought South Beach Miami to Monarch Beach. Hint of "bling" were seen on every possible container. Candles, white flowers, with black cushions laid on modern white furniture; the perfect environment to sip a favarite cocktail while watching the sunset or the evening stars. We brought in a black and white patterned linens from BBJ white baby grand piano,a white dance floor and a jazz quintet from Mark Wood Entertianment to jamm all night. My favorite detail of the day was the rhinestone napkin holder for each guest..and last but not least, Julia graduated from UCI, go anteaters! -Jeannie
