OPEN HOUSE

We know we could not be successful without the great partnerships and working relationships with vendors on any wedding or event. So....Monday, we invited many of our friends, or should I say wedding vendor professionals to come by, say hi and tour our new office. Not a big office tour as the space is under a 1000 sq feet, but we had our doors open for about 7 hours...we were blessed with Jasmine Star's early arrival as we asked her to document part of the day for us. We can't wait to work with her as she is so stylish and artistic, she happens to be gorgeous too, I begged her for a head shot! We couldn't have had such a great event with out all the savories and goodies. Big thanks to The Cake Studio - cupcakes, Marti Chocolatt-for the custom blue chocolate party favors, White Lilac- perfectly matched floral concept based on a paper napkin we gave them, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory at the Block in Orange-carmel apples in 5 flavors and chocolate covered strawberries, Jin Patisserie-pistachio/orange macaroons, Fiori Fresco- cake platters, buckets, linens. And a party must have entertainment, so of course Peter P set up his sound system in the back...luckily there are vacancies next door. More importantly, thank you to all that made it or tried to come, we really appreciate your support. Drivers from Riverside, SD and LA, we know it's not easy so thank you for making the extra effort.

Peacock Feathers

I was excited to get this CD of images from the famous Frank Salas Photography for the wedding of Lisa and Jake Otis. Lisa loves peacock feathers and wanted them throughout her bouquet and floral arrangements. She enlisted the talented Sunny of White Lilac who Lisa knew from the work side to create a gorgeous ceremony site. Thick lush carpet of petals, full arch above, flower bouquets on chair aisles...I have not seen the gazebo at the St. Regis more gorgeous than it was that day. A Jazz Trio from Essence Entertainment played for the ceremony and for Lisa to walk down the aisle to "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole. Guests dined in the wine cellar, surrounded by hundreds of wine bottles and candles. Lush floral arrangements in wrought iron graced the tables and linens from Wildflower Lisa and Jake really surprised their guests with luggage tags from Louis Vutton. They were also perfect seating card holders! To see more images, click on slideshow by Frank Salas LINK -Jeannie

Christy Conzelman and Matthew Griswold at Richard Nixon Library.

This was such a beautiful wedding and we were so thankful the rain stopped, or just slightly drizzled. The colors were true fall inspired; with rich caramel, gold, paprika, burnt orange, bronze and chocolate. I was able to work closely with Christy's mom, who was amazing, a lady with great taste! She surprised Christy with a lounge area, which was a big hit as it was not as common in 2006.

We owe this entry and feature to the talented photographer, Jules Bianchi. Jules is creative and as an artistic eye for photography as her background was in the movie industry. Take a look at her blog and website as she also does family portraits and baby photos. Wedded Bliss in Beverly Hills

Yaas and Jason chose a luxury landmark, The Beverly Hills Hotel to host over 450 guests to their lavish wedding designed by the talented Sunny Ravanbach of White Lilac and gracefully captured by Victor Sizemore. A 70ft long runway lined with floating candles led to a picture perfect altar adorned with lush florals in various shades of blush, creating the ultra romantic ceremony. Beautiful custom made centerpieces delicately strung with orchids were the natural focal points of the ballroom. Guests were treated to a delicious 4-course dinner and were allowed to choose their main entrée table side… major credit goes to the amazing banquet team at The Beverly Hills Hotel and especially Tiffany Lai, Catering Manager extraordinaire! Martik Band kept the dancefloor alive and packed the entire night, pausing only to allow Jason to serenade his new bride with a song written specially for her. An abundant fruit & tea station which also consisted of traditional Persian treats awaited the guests and made for a sweet send off. Best wishes to Yaas & Jason and thank you again for allowing me to share in your special day!- Michelle

One Generation Later in Montecito

How amazing would it be to get married in the same church that your parents were married in? Christy Duggan and Chris Osborne were married at Our Lady Mount Carmel (where the Duggans were married) in Montecito New Years Eve weekend and had their reception at the Montecito Country Club. Christopher Aldama Fiori Fresco Special Events has worked with the family on several parties and WE were honored to be able to work on Christy's wedding. Eggplant, purple, plum, fuchsia, crimson colors- were all incorporated in the floral which suited the Spanish motif of the CC. More of these colors are seen in 750 sugar gum paste flowered cake, made by the hands of The Cake Studio. The ceilings were wood beams and amazingly tall which allowed for the wrought iron chandeliers and additional floral and crystals. The motif on the fireplace was a custom gobo created by Shine Lighting that emulated the menu card and invitations created by Nickelsons Invitations. Ira Lippke and Elysium Productions took the couple around downtown Santa Barbara and took photos in front of the old SB courthouse, perfect portraits for the tag team lawyers. And I have to add this in as people have emailed me about who did Christy's hair, and yes, it's the famous Mr. Eric Bilardi. They partied all night to James Gang of West Coast Music and surprised guests with a lounge and plasma tvs around the room featuring a same day edit video created that night by Elysium Video Link Dimitri Zarate, DJ mixed hip hop/pop for the after party lounge. But that was not the last surprise…thank you tags for the rear view mirror were placed into guest cars by the valet staff. -Jeannie, Brooke, Michelle

Gardenias that won't brown

MaddieTotes.com, another division of Details Details will be featuring lightweight, gardenia hair clips. They are made of air like clay, individually handmade in Hawaii, and are extremely life like. The benefit is that you can touch it without worrying about the edges browning. Often times brides order gardenias for their hair, but they become dry and brown even before the ceremony starts, as there is no water source and sensitive to the oils on hands. Hair Stylists will love them too. Will be able to purchase at the end of the month.

Love at first Email!

Liz and Derek found true love on EHarmony. If you ask Derek, as I did, when they first met, what they did on their first date, when they got engaged, and when he knew she was the one, his response is not, "last summer" or "a few months ago," but the EXACT dates! He said that they were the most important dates of his life, so how could he forget them? As soon as Liz and Derek got engaged, Liz had her perfect photographer picked out! Who is this photographer you ask? Well, it was Jessica Claire. It was actually Jessica's Blog that led the couple to me. Jessica had just done my headshots and posted them, so Liz and Derek decided to call me and see what Details Details was all about. Their wedding was held at the beautiful Virginia Country Club, a private golf club that Liz's family belongs to. The Ceremony and Cocktail music was performed by an acoustic guitarist, Kristi Jo. However, during the ceremony, Derek had arranged for a keyboard so that he could serenade his bride with the song "Destiny" by Katherine McPhee. Liz was completely blown away. The fall flowers were provided by Bixby Knolls Florist. To entertain the guests, they had DJ Devon from Invisible Touch and a Photobooth from Fotocabina. The delicious cake was from Great Dane Bakery. Liz and Derek left the next day to Canada for a wonderful and relaxing honeymoon! -Brooke
